They're as effective as paper towels and are perfect for washing dishes or cleaning counters and then throwing them away after a few days rather than dealing with a disgusting sponge (and wondering when it's actually clean). They are thin, yes, large puddles of liquid are not absorbed; but not a single paper towel. There is another seller who sells them in two packs of 100 sheets per roll, they are the same dimensions and design as this one. They are smaller and thinner than handi-wipes, yet effective and durable enough for repeated use. I like them better because of the price: 200 wipes less than a pack of 72 Handi Wipes. I also like a couple of smaller rolls so they're easy to stow away in the local cleaning supplies bathroom and under the kitchen sink and don't have to be thrown away immediately after use.
