Also graphite pencil HB. That's 14 pieces, not counting the instruction book and blue wires as one item. The quality is very good, it is not an inferior product. However, the price quoted seems a bit high for a starter kit - it gets the artist working, but you'll need more paints. The booklet is very simple, but at the same time a worthy introduction to sketches and cartoons. This will get you started, but you'll soon have more questions and need a little more guidance. From what I can see the price reflects the convenience of choosing these starter items for you - it would make a wonderful gift. Yes, you could buy these items individually at a lower price I think, but if you want a win-win gift for a young artist, this is a good choice.
