Familiar and satisfying
My older sister sometimes gets confused when trying to operate modern electronic devices such as televisions, cell phones, remote controls, etc. If she wants to fall asleep listening to the radio at night, she can confidently turn up one knob for volume and the second knob for tuning. No boring, unresponsive buttons whose surfaces are etched with tiny three-letter abbreviations for meaningless functions to press, no cluttered knobs to turn to adjust volume and select a station.
