Inexpensive and great for camping/playing

I was looking for an inexpensive radio set to use at home, camping or hiking. Mind you, I wasn't looking for one that can work over long distances - my experience is that if a walkie-talkie reads 5 miles, it often doesn't work very far in urban areas due to a lot of electrical interference within city limits. Even when hiking, the slope of the mountain can break the connection. This set of radios is claimed to be 16 miles long, which is quite a requirement for non-amateur radios. But what intrigued me is that it has some of the features that popular Baofeng radios have, like NOAA weather station and VOX for hands-free calling. Hike in two different directions, but we tested how well it works at sea. Did he reach 8 miles? No, we rode about 6 miles, but it's still not bad! Lots of ham radios dropped about 3-4 miles away! For gaming and quick communication near an outdoor campsite, these radios worked great! Whenever we go camping and my group wants to go down by the river to relax, these walkie-talkies are great for communicating with that group - better than cheap radios that cost $30. They are also great for interacting with your neighbor when your child stays there to play with their friend. Besides, it's also a great way for the neighborhood kids to let their imaginations run wild by pretending to be spies and sending each other secret messages. Overall, these walkie-talkies work well and as expected for their price range.
