I took D40 for an old lady :). I chose between it and 60 mm for a long time - in the end I settled on 85 and am glad. I donโt plan to take Full Frame in the near future, and Iโm just learning photography, so itโs just right for me. I am sure that specialists with straight arms will reveal the potential of this kid to the fullest. A tripod and a ring flash would be a cool addition, but just a tripod is fine. If without it, then we train to hold our breath and not shake like an aspen leaf. If you are a happy owner of a carcass with a folding display and a remote control, then generally lafa :) The operation of the stabilizer takes some getting used to, but in most cases it is not needed and can even interfere. Autofocus is fast - of course, when compared with professional mega-lenses, it can be slow, but kamon! It's completely different money. Compared to a whale lens, it is pleasantly heavy. It is pleasant to the touch, but you should not count on getting a tactile orgasm. I didnโt try to shoot portraits, I accidentally got only a duck (in the attached ones), so I canโt say anything here. Satisfied with the results and the shooting process.
