I should have listened to the many reports of defects with this product. The filter fabric puckers during installation as it can be torn open with a simple touch, leaving gaping holes for particles and other substances to pass through the filter. This effect builds up like a snowball as a small tear opens rapidly and other folds soon begin to tear. This not only affects the air quality, but also degrades the performance and lifespan of the system. I think part of the root cause has to do with "filter manifolds" and how they contact the filter. They will look for a new filter or, if there is no other acceptable alternative, disassemble this system and install a more conventional filter unit.
