What you need to know

Walk over to your door and turn the latch before you buy this. Did he slip inside without having to push or pull the door? If it fits well, then you can use it. If not, can you use a dremel to adjust or enlarge the strike plate hole? If yes, then you can buy it. If not, then I'm sorry! Is your door next to a covered porch? No? Well, this block doesn't have a rubber seal, so if it gets wet, water will seep in behind the block. Maybe use plumbing to caulk or a gasket mold? Additionally, if you notice on Sense, the screen is light gray with white lettering. Will the sun hit the touchpad? Yes? Well, you won't be able to read the numbers. The sun doesn't hit the numbers? Okay, you still can't read numbers. Why they chose grey/white is beyond me. Is the inside of your home, say, heated or isn't it heated like a garage door? If there is no heat, the batteries will not last long in the winter. Are you trying to use it with Alexa or Apple Homekit? You cannot use both. If you try to connect to Alexa and it doesn't work, go to Homekit and disable/remove Sense from it. If you go through all this, the lock will work perfectly. I have a pair to Alexa and it opens and closes when needed. However, note that you cannot unlock the Alexa activity, but you can close/lock it as an activity. For example, I have an action where I say "Alexa goodnight," turn off the lights in my garage (wemo), and lock the scythe. To unlock Sense with Alexa, Alexa will ask for a password. Also, I had a key. I saw somewhere that someone said this isn't true? It doesn't make any sense to me.
