This is a great addition to MDX. I have a 2018 and all the positive reviews are spot on (yes it's perfect for 2018). A few tips: 1. Be sure to watch the YouTube video as recommended by other reviews. There is one called "2016 Acura MDX Cargo Grid Installation" by author ralfmalf72 (Happy Days link goes back ok) that is perfect. It shows you exactly where to find the threaded holes hidden by the factory carpet. WARNING - there are two sets of holes - one is too high and the wrong set - watch the video to find the correct holes.2. BUT, the video and several reviews talk a lot about drilling and drilling. If you don't have this equipment, or if the idea of drilling holes in your new vehicle is off-putting, ignore it. We're just talking about a 1/16" thick felt carpet. You don't need a drill, chainsaw, live jaws, or other power tools. All you need is a sharp knife. Just look for holes. , cut right across the Punch a little cross and you can insert the net hook bolts (sounds like a banana cutter test - which btw you should look for if you haven't already seen it.) Anyhow, a few small snips with a sharp knife and mine Cargo net is installed perfectly and works fantastic.deciding to remove the grille and bolts, no one will ever notice the 2 little crosses on the cargo area carpet.Just thought it might help those who are a bit nervous about the mention of power tools.
