Materials are good and look durable, no problem here. I have problems with the attachment. First, the fasteners, the screws, are of poor quality metal and are easily removed by hand or with a drill. Even with the large pilot holes in the stock 2x4, I stripped 3 bolts while trying to tighten the bolts. The mounting holes are too close to be used on a heavy-duty 2x4, which is fine for lighter loads under 35 pounds. I know the wider the holes the more weight they can support, but when they're just 1/2 inch closed they're perfect for 2x4 crossbars. I've serviced bikes in the past and they work fine, but higher quality bolts and lightly covered holes make them better.
