This is a great belt replacement. As others have pointed out, this is a softer rubber compound so it's a bit more comfortable. The loop for attaching the end of the strap has a nice little tab to keep it from moving. And you get an extra loop. In addition, the perforations are slightly closer together than the original strap, allowing for finer adjustment of the clasp. A small cosmetic issue is evident when you receive a dark pad. Small perforations collect dust, lint etc. I chose a plum colored backing which although looks very sharp shows lint/dust collecting in the perforations. Small issue but may be less noticeable with a lighter background color such as grey, white or yellow. A very good backup group and I'm tempted to get more than one.
