Review on 🐶 GoGo Bell Dog Doorbell: Housebreaking & Potty Training Tool - White (Qty 1) by Jeff Dawson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Who the hour strikes.

So I was skeptical at first. The dogs in the videos were circus dogs or trained actors. I've had dogs all my life and I've never seen a dog ring a bell to go outside. We just got a new German Shorthaired Pointer puppy and I didn't want him having to jump out the back door to get in and out. So I decided I would give it a try. The column arrived quickly and well packaged. It included instructions on how to present your dog and how to train him. I worked on this every day with my pup and every time we went outside I grabbed his paw and slapped his bell. "Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnngggggg" that bell, while not unpleasant, could be heard over the booming noises in my house. Neither my daughters Dora's marathon in the living room nor my wife Kathy Lee's duel with Hoda on surround sound in the bedroom (yes, I know why I bought the Bose) could muffle that bell. Just like the bell rang in Hemingway's novel, my GSP would sound the alarm when it was time to go to the potty, when he was chasing a butterfly he saw from behind, or when he was trying to avoid my mother's anger as she took off her shoes found. It was cute at first, but as he got older and bigger he really hit that poor little bell. Six months after we bought it, our GSP, now 8 months old, gave it the finishing touch. (See attached picture). I'm not sure how to prevent this. I rated it 3 stars because it didn't last a year. Functionally, the bell did its part until it blew it off. If they could sell a longer lasting version I would love to!
