Big dog bell.

It took our dachshund a few weeks to get used to it, but he's getting used to it now. At the time of purchase he was almost 2 years old. The easiest way I've found to get him to do it right is to hold my hand over the bell like he has a treat. As soon as he called a few times, I showed him the treat I had put behind the glass door and asked him to call to get the treat. I included a video of our pup ringing a bell. We have since moved and gotten a dog door but that phone call was very helpful!

The house is formed in a day.

Never thought it would work. I set it at dog height, rang the bell with a dog's paw, and then let it out into the street over and over and over again. I left thinking, okay, a few bucks down the drain. When I got to the other part of the house, I heard a phone call. I quickly went to the door and there he was waiting. So I released it. The rest of the day he rang the bell about 50 times! Every time I let him go. The next day he rang the bell about 10 times. Every time I opened the door and let…

Ringing but disappointing, paint is peeling and rusting

My 3 month old puppy had to be shown a bell once and he successfully rang to get out of them. (Ultra Smart Breed) These are adorable and very helpful when your dog isn't barking or when you want to stop your dog from scratching the door. Unfortunately the paint started peeling off the first day and after a few days it was done. rusty. Now the bell in my house is an eyesore and needs to be either repaired or replaced. It was only $5 or so but I'm considering going back to a different brand. I am

ring ring! the best of dogs

Many years ago I tried to train our other dogs with a bell on the doorknob. It wasn't very successful. I stumbled upon this and bought it to train our new Frenchie puppy. It worked! We attached it to the bottom of the door frame. I thought it would bother you, but it doesn't. It was several days before she called every time we went out somewhere. Now she calls herself when she wants to go out. We haven't had a single accident since she found out! This particular bell is small, if you have a…

Best communication tool

This call works best for us. We are training a puppy who is new to us but is 6 months old. We tried the bell but we had to help our dog ring the bell and she carried it in her mouth and played with it because it was loose on the floor. We tried the bells that hung on the doorknob strap, but she played with them again and tugged, eventually scratching the door. Also, it rang every time we opened the door, which confused us all. The GoGo bell is the perfect size, easy to install and comfortable…

Good ringer clear loud ringer

I ordered this because my 5 month old cocker spaniel/miniature poodle puppy is sitting quietly by the door instead of warning us what she wants out. Although usually very easy to train, she still resists being touched 3 weeks after receiving the bell. I wonder if this sound is uncomfortable for you? I will insist on the training and hopefully she will get it eventually. Otherwise the bell is of acceptable quality and what I expected for the price and was delivered to New Zealand quickly. There…

We have been patient and it has paid off.

We bought this bell to help our Whiskey Miniature Dachshund puppy (about five months old at the time of purchase) learn to communicate when he needs to go outside. When we first received her, she was internally trained on paper. Now that we are in our new apartment, we have put the papers for her in a safe place on the balcony. And while Whiskey quickly realized she needed to use the potty, she wouldn't have waited for us to open the door if there wasn't anyone around to let her out. Lots of…

Must buy! Specially designed for potty training dogs

As a cat owner new to the dog world, I quickly discovered that potty training a dog is a completely different process than potty training a cat. through the idea of bell training after much research. I chose this call because it is wall mounted. Other bells I've encountered were on the door or on the doorknob and I didn't want the bell to ring every time someone opened the door. So this bell is good as I was able to mount it on the wall next to our sliding glass door. After about 20 minutes and

Who the hour strikes.

So I was skeptical at first. The dogs in the videos were circus dogs or trained actors. I've had dogs all my life and I've never seen a dog ring a bell to go outside. We just got a new German Shorthaired Pointer puppy and I didn't want him having to jump out the back door to get in and out. So I decided I would give it a try. The column arrived quickly and well packaged. It included instructions on how to present your dog and how to train him. I worked on this every day with my pup and every…
