Door is not fully adjustable for all sizes listed. In my 105 year old Dutch Colonial, within the listed size range for this gate, the stairwell is 38 inches wide. But more adjustment options in the gate would be nice. Two additional side frames can be added. In my case none is too small and one is too small and you can't adjust the posts far enough without sacrificing stiffness. And now both parts of the frame are too wide in any position or setting. Threaded posts do not screw into the frame and should provide rigidity. You'll have to do more adjustments, add black grommets to go over the dowel rods, and actually make it so the threaded rods can be screwed all the way in. This works in most standard doors, stairwells etc. I understand the product doesn't knock but be careful if you have a special case like me and think it might be fully adjustable.
