Simply very small pinecones, no twine for hanging.
Was disappointed because I wanted to hang them with my other pinecones on the tree. Perhaps I didn't read the description closely. They are not hanging ready. If you want to hang them you have to string them and put hangers on them. However, they are great to use as part of centerpieces which I did, and inside battery lighted candles. If you have a glue gun, you can add to tags with a small ribbon. I used them at Thanksgiving and Christmas because there are so many.
