I don't know what metals were used in the making of these earrings, but they are definitely not hypoallergenic. After wearing one of the small, non-dangling pairs once, my earlobes were swollen and the piercings raw. Don't buy them if you really need hypoallergenic earrings. Dangling earrings aren't light at all - I haven't worn them, but when I held them I felt like they were too heavy. I don't know what to do with them; I wanted to give them to my daughters and granddaughters as fun summer wear, but I didn't like it!
