I've tried 3 other long stick automatic hair curlers and this one was MUCH better. It heats up very quickly, doesn't tangle or pull your hair, and creates more stable curls. The only thing I complain about is the cord - it's in a very awkward place (right where your palm should be) and gets in the way, but it's not too complicated or bulky to work around. Some reviews said you can only use a small amount of hair at a time. True, but they are all like that. It was no less than the others. The biggest benefit is the way it pulls in the hair. It reaches up so the hair is never pulled out by the roots. I had gotten my hair tangled in all the others I used to the point I almost thought I'd have to cut it off to get it out! Because it's smaller, it's also easier to manage (minus the cable issue). It is very easy to style your hair and it comes out perfect every time. From everything I have tried I would rate this well above the others and would never go back to any other design. For speed, comfort and performance, it was the clear winner.
