I have used these bags exclusively in our Kenmore landfill compactor for the past five months. These oversized bags are made in the USA from recycled plastic. The homeowner needs to find a way to attach the garbage bag to the compactor, perhaps with a strong rubber band, modifying the bag as in my video, or using another method. Swivel straps secure a full garbage bag. FORTES* This is a durable bag despite being made from recycled plastic. The bag can be packed without fear of leakage or tearing.* 2.5 mil thick!* Made in the USA! DEFECTIVE* Swing Straps: 1) easily lost or misplaced and 2) weak - debris will not get caught in the bag.* No built-in feature to secure bag in seal (see Kirkland Compactor Bags, 18 gal, Smart Fit Gripping Drawstring, 70 ct) as an example of a self-sealing bag. UPDATE 10/23/2016 My wife and I have been using these bags for 2.67 years AND despite _overfilling the bag_ and _kitchen cleaners inserting the bag_ there are NO tears in these bags! The bag remained intact and in less than ideal condition, which is why I've upgraded my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Since some customers do not want to take care of the personal security of the bag, the booking remains. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED with small caveats.
