OEM quality is hard to beat. Instead of tying it to the fuse panel which would be very difficult to reach, plus my 2015 car and I don't think it's programmed for those lights, I tied it to a white/brown striped wire under the driver's door. Rocker panel leading to the headlight of the third brake light. Route the cables up between the driver's side inner fender and the cab and then through the rubber plug where the clutch master would be mounted if you had a standard transmission. You can pierce the connector, then drill a hole and thread the wire through, then plug it back in. It is better to try and drill a hole under the dash or through the firewall and you can drill a slightly smaller hole and it will seal perfectly. Works perfectly.
