Review on Ski & Snowboard Edge Care Products: Abrasive & Finishing Solutions by Joshua Albright

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I bought mine to do a rough edge on a crappy stabbing sledgehammer I bought cheap at the store.

Designed for sharpening skis, skates etc. I bought mine to make a rough edge on a crappy stabbing sledgehammer I bought cheap at the big hardware store. On the shelf, these things make the butter knife look sharp. This little diamond sharpener cuts through a lot of stuff very quickly, especially straight out of the box, so I wouldn't suggest you use it to sharpen anything you want. thin edge until you break it off. It's still pretty aggressive afterward, but I used it to repair a battered hatchet. He quickly restored the blade, and after that it was not difficult to process it with a standard whetstone. will help you maintain an accurate angle, so I wouldn't recommend it for anything that really needs a consistent edge. For example, do not use this for kitchen knives. To be honest it doesn't really do well with an ax or hatchet unless you're willing to come back with the right whetstone and get the job done right. For a rough approximation of a blade so dull and in such poor condition, it's useless, it's magnificent.
