The image shows the first mandrel bend on this downpipe. The part I received was not bent on a mandrel but on a pinch. In a low power application like the Jeep 4.0 this is probably not significant. However, I planned to modify this tube to fit my CJ, which would require cutting the first bend in half and repositioning the bottom. The corrugated bend significantly complicates the implementation of this idea. The overall design of the part is pretty good. The welds look neat, the flange is properly seated. I would have no problem screwing this onto my TJ if I had one.
