Review on πŸŽ™οΈ Hosa HMIC-100 REAN XLR3F to XLR3M Pro Microphone Cable - Versatile 100ft Length for Optimal Performance by Mohmed Burt

Great low cost solution

Here in Nashville I have a recording studio, a production studio and a radio studio. When I connect a Neumann mic to a UA preamp for lead vocals, okay, I use the Mogami cable. While I used to not want to use cheap cables, Hosa taught me that their cables are good. , is serviceable and is exactly what is needed for MANY applications and many of the hundreds of short or transient connections that exist in my environment. Having said that about standard Hosa cables, I'll say this: Hosa "Pro" cables are a definite improvement and I really like them. The connectors are silver-plated (silver is better than gold, but some idiots insist on spending money on gold-plated connectors). The cable itself is much better, my resistance tests have been very good on cables up to 25ft (haven't bought anything longer). Having ordered twenty different cables for the new set of distribution amps and codecs, I appreciated the switch to an open pack with small velcro straps versus regular zip ties that have to be cut (sharps and cables - never a good combination ). . . Time will tell if they will last, but it looks like the right components were made for it. While I prefer Neutrik connectors, REAN connectors are very good. I couldn't resist comparing A/B to some of my most prized mic cables. All parameters were within 5% of the best cables I have and some cost more than my first car. For those building a design studio, this would be a godsend. Buy with confidence and enjoy.
