Reliable and durable!

I have 25 now, most of them 10 feet. I do live sound for clubs and some wedding bands and I never have too many of these cables. Since I bought my first batch 2 years ago I haven't had a single issue with them failing or making excessive noise. They come in handy for mixing drums into a drip snake, but I use them for everything else too! Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Somewhat serviceable

Huge upgrade from the basic cable

I came from the camp that cables can make a big difference and these did. I used Amazon's basic cable and they have a much fuller, richer sound and less noise. My home studio during Covid is a rat's nest of tangled electrical, data and audio cables so I feel the stiffer cable and connectors that better insulation helps reduce interference.

Don't skimp on XLR cables. That's great!

Looking at the sound, saving quality cables is a disadvantage I see with many developers. Why spend hundreds of dollars on microphones but buy cheap cables for them? Hosa XRL cables are the ONLY cables I will use for all my projects. Yes, they can cost a little more, but after all, is it worth risking the sound quality to save a few bucks? It's not for me!

Mine broke in Live Sound & Stage

My 10ft cable had frayed ground wires when I took it apart and as a result couldn't power all of my condenser mics. Given the many Hosa cables I have I find it really odd that none of them are defective but this is supposed to be their best line and it shows up and doesn't even work. I couldn't tell for a few days because I only used dynamic mics and never thought the cable could fail. simple, making it useless very quickly.

Thick and strong cable for stage and studio

I didn't take any pictures of the cable before installing it, but surprisingly it's a black cable. This xlr will appeal to many. This thing is surprisingly thick (thicker than a Mohamis) but in a good way. It has less EMF dropout than its more expensive counterparts, but that's pretty much negligible unless you're working with the cord draped across different power supplies. This cable makes no noise that would require pin removal, so it's automatically a step above the base Revain cable. The…

Good cables for rough use.

Microphone cables are either good or bad in live sound. There are no magic cables, no special copper, no fake home audio equipment. You just don't hear the pros talk about the wonders of XLR cables. All you need is a good cable, good connectors and good soldering. There are some cheap cables at Revain that are poorly composed of crappy materials. These wear out quickly. The truth is that at 99% usage you won't hear any difference between the cables. Problems include a fragile cable due to poor…

Great low cost solution

Here in Nashville I have a recording studio, a production studio and a radio studio. When I connect a Neumann mic to a UA preamp for lead vocals, okay, I use the Mogami cable. While I used to not want to use cheap cables, Hosa taught me that their cables are good. , is serviceable and is exactly what is needed for MANY applications and many of the hundreds of short or transient connections that exist in my environment. Having said that about standard Hosa cables, I'll say this: Hosa "Pro"…
