Type of review

The unexpected wait was bad enough, but at this point I don't even know if it will be any good after I dry it out. This should not be necessary for BRAND NEW FILAMENT, IMHO. I ordered 3 spools of filament a week ago. One arrived promptly, this one far from it, and the third hasn't even arrived yet!I wonder if one star is deserved - but I'm not sure why two would be better. Perhaps because it was at least the color I ordered? OK - one and a half.

Pros
  • This filament worked great. I was abl
Cons
  • Tends to wear out printer nozzles faster

Quality Flexible Filament

I am printing this on a Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2.1 with several modifications.First of all, like many flexible filaments - this does have the possibility of jamming your extruder. I am using a flexible filament adapter extruder plate from thingiverse and the micro-swiss all-metal hotend and I'm not having any issues with jams.currently am printing at 215c first layer 210c after with a basically cold, 30c bed. 1mm retraction at 75mm/sec and printing at a glacial 20mm/sec. TPU likes to print slow.

Pros
  • love the Hatchbox PLA.
Cons
  • Limited color options

Works just as great as other hatchbox filament!

First off, I'm a normal customer. No weird discount stuff. Idk why hatchbox does that, throws off trust(at least mine).Anyway, Great fialment! Hatchbox has been my goto filement since I starting printing. I've bought over 7 rolls of pla. It's high quality stuff, and this TPU doesn't disappoint. Naturally, it's a bit more stringy than pla, but nothing problematic. It looks like pla until you touch it. It is also very easy to print and it prints at the same nozzle temp I use for pla (210c). I…

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Not biodegradable or eco-friendly

Prints great once your settings are dialed.

I've been using this with my Makerbot Replicator+ and its been running great. It's more difficult to print with than PLA so be prepared to have some failures till your settings are dialed. It can have feed issues but that is becaise of the softness of the material. But once you have the setup down its prints beautifully and is a great material when softer more durable prints are needed.

Pros
  • What a great color and quality. I can't say enough about how well the prints come out.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to print with

Prints on 3d Systems CubePro, no heated bed

I was able to pick this up in purple and now in silver, the latter I am still waiting to open. This is the perfect TPU for using with printer not really designed to print TPU. I top feed it through a Cube Pro using "PLA” cartridge in the unit, and then use another slicer and tools to encode the build. I seem to have the best luck starting the first layer at 220C and then finish prints at 205C to prevent swirling. For small layers, using a priming block worked wonders! All this at keeping the…

Pros
  • Additive Manufacturing Products
Cons
  • May warp or shrink during printing

Quality flexible filament

This was the very first flexible filament I tried. It prints well once dialed in and it was relatively easy to get dialed in. I'm running it on a modified FT-5 (titan aero + volcano) at 0.4mm with an 0.8mm nozzle and it's performing perfectly. Sticks well to cold glass with aquanet. Makes for very strong, flexible models. Layer adhesion is excellent as with most TPU filament. Even one or two layers thick makes a near impossible-to-tear bond. Hatchbox is a great filament brand in general. Been…

Pros
  • Works great from an Ender 3 pro with no mods!
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other TPU filaments

Good TPU for the price.

This is my first TPU filament and I'm very happy with it so far. I'm using it in my Prusa i3 MK3S+ and have not had any issues printing. I'm printing directly on the textured sheet, but they advise putting something like a glue stick down if you have the smooth sheet. I also followed the Prusa guide for printing with flexibles and loosened the idler tension on my extruderI'm using the Prusa SainSmart TPU profile and there is some minor stringing depending on the model, but not sure how much…

Pros
  • The product arrived quickly and was as described.
Cons
  • May produce inconsistent results

Works very well best in my review

It prints very clean and is durable material with good color, I would purchase again. May produce inconsistent mechanical properties! Delivery was fast great price

Pros
  • Offers excellent flexibility and elasticity
Cons
  • May produce inconsistent mechanical properties

Don't blame the filament, this is not PLA !

I don't know why other's bash this filament due to there own issues with there printer setup. I run direct drive only with close tolerance in the extruder. Always have with any filament and have no issues. I'm not a pro, I am the average user. HB TPU has not disappointed me.It extrudes and prints perfectly. Soft and pliable to hard rubber. depending on the fill. Yes its much slower print, yes you need to dial in your speed and heat. Once there its heaven. I print a lot of custom hand grips and…

Pros
  • Provides fantastic results when printing objects that involve sharp turns or angles
Cons
  • May require additional drying time before printing

Bring Variety to Your Prints

Having never printed TPU before, I had read all of the warnings of poor adhesion, poor extrusion, poor print quality, etc. but thought that the price was not too big a barrier. Using a model that I know prints well in PLA and PETG, I tried this Hatchbox TPU. I decided to use my printer with direct drive and will update if I ever try in my Bowden printer. I swapped the PLA out, fed this TPU, and printed the file with adjustments to temperature and slowing it down quite a bit (15mm/sec). The…

Pros
  • Can be used to print hinges and mechanical parts
Cons
  • May require additional time for printing and post-processing

Flexible filament with no mods needed.

Works great! I didn't have to change a single thing on my maker select plus. Just adjust your slicer settings for the TPU Not recommended for printing thin walls or fine details!

Pros
  • Can withstand repeated compression and expansion cycles without breaking
Cons
  • Not recommended for printing thin walls or fine details

Not nearly as good as the other hatchbox TPU colors

For whatever reason this TPU prints much more stringy than any other hatchbox tpu I have used. I have since switched to sainsmart black tpu and it prints a lot cleaner.

Pros
  • Versatile filament suitable for printing a wide range of designs, patterns, and shapes
Cons
  • Can be challenging to sand or paint

Amazing! Awesome quality .see photos!

I bought this one to print the open RC F1 project I found on thingiverse and wow it printed the first time and it's being consistent I'm almost done with the roll and I can recommend you this one it's very good and you can see for yourself in the pictures below the one that looks glossy it's because I put flash on it but the color is like the other pics by I did it with the flash so you can see it how well he layers are attached to each other, I had no problems with this material at all.

Pros
  • Can print objects with high-quality interlocking parts
Cons
  • May produce an unpleasant odor when heated

Great Filament at the right price

Im still new to 3d printing, so i appreciate companies like this that make low cost/high quality products. I am seriously considering buying a few more spools so i have a larger color assortment. Thanks again guys.

Pros
  • Suitable for printing parts that require high levels of shock absorption properties
Cons
  • Not recommended for printing intricate details

High Quality TPU in my review

Used on Ender 3, 220 with bed at 40. excellent adhesion, very little stringing. A bit more expensive than some other brands, but worth the price.

Pros
  • Offers great value for money considering the amount of filament you get
Cons
  • Difficult to achieve smooth and glossy finish

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Prints Great in my Ender 3.

I ran this TPU filament at 230 degrees with a 70 degrees bed. It printed just fine. I did not have to use direct drive. The filament printed flawlessly just like all the rest Hatchbox's products. I would recomend this product to anyone running a Creality printer. Love it. I'll be purchasing some more of this in different colors.

Pros
  • Lets you create objects that are soft to the touch
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to control flow and extrusion rate

Great stuff. Consistent printing!

I like the rubbery feel of the Hatchbox TPU. It has a 95A Shore hardness. Not quite sure what that means, but my models have a "spongy" or rubbery feel. I love this stuff!

Pros
  • 3D Printing Supplies
Cons
  • May cause irritation or allergic reactions

Excelent material for my opinion

After a few tweaks to my Wanhao Duplicator i3 I have printed a case for my s7. I print on glass, but I encountered warping issues so I had to use glue stick and 60°c bed. I also recommend 195°c for the extruder and no retraction of course. Low speeds unless you've modified your extruder.

Pros
  • Prints with a smooth and consistent texture
Cons
  • May require a more powerful 3D printer to print

Once you get the settings right, it prints beautifully.

While Hatchbox is definitely a budget-friendly manufacturer, I've been fortunate to have had almost exclusively positive experiences with their PLA filaments.when I decided to get into TPU, the price and availability was right for me.Like with all the Hatchbox filament I've bought, it came in a very well vacuum-sealed bag with a big sachet of silica gel. The winding appears to be good (this was my only previous issue with Hatchbox), I've noticed no moisture issues, and it feeds well into the…

Pros
  • The filament doesn't deform or crack during printing
Cons
  • Can be more brittle than other TPU filaments

Prints pretty good: my feedback

I've had a couple issues with some objects but I'm not sure its the filament that is at fault. Seems high enough quality. 5 stars until i find something to complain about

Pros
  • Superior printing quality with HATCHBOX TPU 3D Printer Filament
Cons
  • May clog printer nozzles easily
