The kit I received from Revain didn't work, also the reference didn't show any color when tested. The reagents may have expired. I emailed Seachem support and they sent me a new one that worked as advertised. The color intensity seems to be inconsistent and there is little time to read. I check the reference sample each time, which limits the number of tests I can run if I need a resolution other than present or absent. The test is fairly simple, but *requires* RODI or distilled water. Waiting for the "activation" of the prepared reagent takes 5 minutes, but otherwise the testing is very fast. Mix the powder reagent with water and then add the prepared liquid reagent, read the color change.
