Review on Bahco 31 US Alligator Adjustable by Steven Nina

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A marine engineer's best friend.

I've never seen these on land, but I know many of my fellow traders have worn them. The jaws are nice and straight, open very wide for their size, fit into tight spaces, don't feel fragile, and are endlessly useful for measuring nuts and bolts with a scale on the side. The snail and mouth can be completely disassembled if they rust. with a small Phillips screwdriver. There is a small spring on one side of the worm gear. So when you take this thing apart, be careful not to lose it. The crocodile end is useful for many things in a pinch, but it's probably best used on small-diameter pipe. and fittings or broken bolts or studs with bare threads. This of course damages the threads, the teeth are very hard and sharp. All in all a very useful tool.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • A few little things
