Lovebird Cage Review

Edit: The door is struggling to hold the cage without me using a few clips and several times after opening the door to clean or remove the bird it fell down and forced me to code the hole hastily until I fixed it. Downgrade the rating further and return. Don't take this cage. I don't usually review products online, but I wanted to give Lovebird owners an honest review. I have a 13 week old lovebird and he seems to like the cage and often climbs to about 85% of the cage. My issue is that it didn't feel solid when assembled as the sides and top could wobble a bit. So I used zip ties to make sure everything was held together tightly. Well, that might be my fault, but the fact that I had to use additional products to make it better is why I didn't give it higher marks. The doors work well, but to be honest, guillotine doors suck and are annoying. I paid $60 so I feel like you get what you pay for and it's no surprise. Some other cons: My bird loves to climb up most of the cage, but it's too small to actually fly. I would say if you have a lovebird use it as an extra cage or if you need a smaller cage for another room and buy a larger flight cage than the main cage. In a few months I will be modernizing his cage and leaving him for a second cage or for temporary keeping of rescue birds. If you buy this cage, ditch the dowels and buy some wooden ones, you can get 6 a pack for $16 here, so you have no excuse.
