Review on Parker 14R113FC Pressure Relieving Regulator by Andrew Dinelli

Not as accurate as I was hoping

I use a regulator to inflate/deflate tires. The idea is to use the regulator to set the desired pressure without having to switch between the air hose and pressure gauge. I attach an AstroAI air cartridge to the short hose coming from the regulator to the tire and let the regulator pressurize or depressurize the tires. Model 14R118FC has four ports: 1/4 supply air (primary), 1/4 exhaust (secondary), and two 1/8 gauge ports. A plug is provided for each unused gauge port. If you want to compare two gauges, you can use both ports. When ordering 14R118FC with gauge, Parker K4515N18160 is included. I have noticed that the pressure fluctuates. This made it unrealistic to set the pressure (e.g. 75psi) on the first tire and expect the same pressure on all four tires. Auto tire inflators at tire shops are $500-$1500, so I'm not surprised that this little Parker regulator isn't accurate enough for this application. pressure of desire. I tried this on a tire that was 5psi over inflated, which is what I wanted, and the excess pressure wouldn't bleed. The pressure drop may need to be greater before the valve releases the secondary pressure.
