My tests have shown that this reader reads and writes around 40MB/s on a 3.0 connection with a Cfast 2.0 silicon power card. Very good speeds. The reader is limited to USB 3.0 technology only. If you need faster speeds, get the new Express version of this reader, but make sure your device has the correct Express connections to get those faster read/write speeds. The Unitek Cfast reader has a compact, minimalist design and looks professional. I would like the outer case to be aluminum but I'm not sure I'm willing to sacrifice light weight. You can just hang it on your laptop as a key and it will not damage the USB port.
