Not all brass fittings are created equal. We use this type of part in our manufacturing and with many other brass fittings they don’t fit well with other parts we use. With some parts claiming to be NPT, you can get only a few threads into the other part and with others, they will go in 8 or more threads without properly sealing. In either case, you would need to spend time using PTFE tape to hope you get a good seal.These parts don’t suffer from those conditions. They fit well and we can use thread sealant instead of tape to get a waterproof joint.We needed to have the hexagonal head in the middle to build our product and this one was sturdy.
