This doorstop is very well made and you pay for it. The problem is that even though the distance between the step and the top of the latch is about 2 inches, the stop only moves down about an inch when you step on the cylinder. That's his limitation. If the distance from the bottom of the door to the floor is less than 1 inch, it will work fine. I had to lengthen the rubber on the bottom as I use it on uneven concrete. I also use it outdoors so I'll see how it holds up in the long run. The rubber on the stopper is a little soft so if it were in direct contact with concrete it would wear out quickly and make it even shorter. Place another rubber stopper over the stop. This made it longer and when it wears out I just stick another one on top. I emailed the company and asked if they had replacement tips. They never answered so I found them myself.
