Great little jars if you follow a few basic principles of their use.

Not sure why other people are having trouble with this as it works great for me! The magnets stick well and firmly to the fridge and the lids are tight. Each jar is quite full of spices and I have no problem slipping them out. My only real complaint is that it can be difficult to spill the spices out of the larger hole because they all get stuck there and have a hard time getting past the "roadblock", but as most spice containers have this problem it is not a problem. big thing. I have some helpful tips if you find your jar is slipping or the lids are loose: 1) If you find the jar is slipping, don't place the jars too close together on the fridge. Since they are magnetic, they repel each other! This can be the reason why some people slide their glasses down when they close the door. The magnets repel each other easily, and the extra motion of closing the door may be enough to move them apart. To hold mine where I put them I left about 1/2 inch between each can. 2) There is a simple solution for freely closing lids. (Honestly, 90% of the lids that came with my package were looser than I would have liked, but I squeezed them right away!) Pull out a bit on the edges. It deforms the metal just enough to ensure a snug fit of the lid. Don't pull too hard or your circle will turn into an oval or worse! Just pull a little and then check the cap. If it's still not tight enough, take it off and pull some more. You don't even want to see the shape of the glass change. It should still look like a circle. Hope this helps those with loose eyelids! **Edit**: I learned something interesting about these glasses today. Apparently ground cloves don't go well with the finish! All of my other spices are good, but there was a blackish chemical reaction between the finish on the metal and the chemicals in the clove, similar to corrosion. I have cleaned the jar and will see if there are any further reactions or if everything is fine now that the carnations have taken the rim off. Mason jars still work well, but those looking to store cloves should be aware of this obvious reaction.
