Bought for my 996. Remove the front bumper clip. Don't forget to apply grease (or lithium grease) to the end that goes into the threads of the tow hook to keep it from seizing. You can choose how wide you want the platter to go through the different slot options. The backplate isn't as big as the license plate, but it doesn't have to be. Installation was so easy and it looks amazing. So good I bought another one for my other 911. Be sure to really tighten a bolt on the tow hook. I had no problem with mine falling off. Even if it were, I'd just install a lock washer if I had to.
