Uses a standard USB-C charger that fully charges in about an hour after plugging it in (although it charged easily and turned on right out of the box). It inflated my standard two seater air mattress in 4 minutes 27 seconds. He's so tiny! So glad I bought it can't wait to use it on my kayak trips and I don't have to go for the one that runs on 6C batteries and it's gigantic and heavy when they all run out. This easily fits in a dry box. This little thing is amazing! I can't comment on others' draining abilities, I will never use this feature. But it is perfect for inflation and very easy to carry. And yes, it's pretty squeaky and pretty noisy, no louder than an electric one, but what air pump isn't? That's great!
