We loved this unit until it suddenly broke 2 weeks ago (after 11 months of use). Okay, maybe because my two year old did something with it, but we're not sure. Even if he puts something in the VCR slot (which he can) - the DVD player should still work, but it doesn't! The power mechanism flickers on and off, seems to try to initialize the VCR and then puff - the whole device dies. again and again. You don't have to try to fix such a cheap product.
