This is a good vest, especially for the money, firstly it is very stiff when you first open it from the box. I recommend getting a leather conditioner and applying it 2-3 coats to soften it up, which I did was an old school trick of pulling it out of the way and banging the ground to give it a break to give it a somewhat restless look. Now for the back armor it's not bad but not the best but at least something protects your back so that's a plus as far as size goes. I can even wear one of my leather jackets underneath or a sweatshirt, the comfort isn't bad, it also feels and looks great when riding, and the pockets there aren't that big, so I only use them to stash my phone, and the inside pockets aren't big at all, so you can't carry a gun in them, and they don't have any buttons or zippers so I suggest taking them to a tailor to have them easily put on as overall it's a very good vest and I'm glad I bought the vest, I've had it for a while been looking for a vest and this one in oscillating gear is overpriced and others on amazon are great but i wanted one with back armor and it was a great buy for the price. So if you are looking for a good vest, take my word for it, follow my instructions and you will like it. Btw, I like the side drawstrings, that's a plus because you can adjust the size. So if you don't like vests with side drawstrings, don't get these
