Switches off much better in electric heaters

Well, there is an automatic function that switches off the heating when a certain temperature is reached in the room. Well, it turns off for a few minutes (I mean less than 5 minutes) after turning it on, and the temperature in my office hasn't changed since the AC is on all the time. It was originally under my desk when I first turned it off, so when I turned it off again I put it behind my seat, in an open area. I restarted it (unplugged for a minute or two, plugged back in) and tried again. Worked, then turned off. The internal thermostat isn't working, or that's what you'll get. I do not know. Sent back and ordered a different brand.
