First I want to say that I'm not pregnant, I'm just old and after suffering from terrible back pain for about 8 months, I decided to try one of the many "pregnancy" pillows available. The choices are seemingly endless and there are certainly cheaper options, but in the end I went with this one and I'm glad I did. First, the quality of this pillow is top notch. Well stitched (both cushion and cover), the padding is ample and well stacked. Many other less expensive pillows (and all are a bit pricey) have reviewers, who complain that the upholstery is underwhelming and the materials thin. I have no doubt that with proper care it will last for many years. There were also a few people who felt the cover was too scratchy, but I washed it before using the pillow and it was very comfortable. As another reviewer pointed out, it's not Egyptian cotton, but it's not burlap either. Ultimately, the true measure of this pillow is in the comfort and pain relief it provides. From the first night my sleep improved and the pain in my back and hips decreased significantly. I'll freely admit I was skeptical that any pillow could make such a big difference, but after a week I'm completely convinced! It's crazy that something as simple as the soft support this pillow provides can make such a difference, but it does. If you are on the fence, be it if you are old or pregnant or just someone who wants to sleep better, I would advise you to give it a try! 07/31/21 - Just wanted to let you know that I have had this pillow for a few months now.
