This is a pretty solid offering for what it is. I also got a Potane at the same time, which uses an almost identical list of components and is the best unit for less than half the price. The lockable lid, 3mm strike plate and efficient cable compartment are great features. I didn't overlook the lack of storage space for the bag and never tried the canister mode as it doesn't come with a hose but there is storage in the lid. There are annoying quirks, like the vacuum that kicks in every time you press the seal and how liquid in the bag spreads all over the outside of the bag and breaks the seal. I sent this back as I can't seal wet stuff in any way, but if you only seal dry stuff you will be very happy with this machine.
