I received the box and immediately (unknowingly) locked it without removing the battery tab. So when you receive it for the first time, make sure you OPEN the box. TIP: You do NOT have to move the switch up to open it. Since I blocked it first, I went with a 9 volt adapter and plugged it in from the bottom. This allowed me to launch the installer. All in all everything seems to be working fine although I haven't tried installing it yet. Agree with others that the software is clunky. ALSO - When connecting to a Wi-Fi set-top box, it prompts you to go to the URL: my.eyeconlock.com. It didn't work for me, it kept telling me I'm not connected. What works is connecting to the box's wifi and going to box.eyecon.sh after which I was able to enter a pin or upload a picture.
