Review on Prier 630-7755 Wall Hydrant Repair Kit: Fix Leaks and Restore Functionality by Jeremiah Vishwasrao

I bought this product to restore an old 578 wall fire hydrant that uses domed packaging. Only the barrel seal was included, although both the right and left plastic seal nuts were cupped and designed to accept a domed seal. Luckily my old domed packing still worked adequately to prevent leaks, but I would have preferred the new packing as I had to over-tighten the packing nut. Hit others, buff the part of the stem that goes through the pack with steel wool before reassembling.
