Runs true to size and is easy to get on and off. My child (6 years) can put them on and take them off by himself and they fit. and they match a lot of his beachwear. The thickness and quality is more in line with a regular shoe than the flat version of the stretch socks I've been used to lately. I'm glad they look more like the classic chunky water shoes I wore in the 90's. I like that they have a hard sole. We have a short walk from my mom's house to the beach around the corner and down the street so it has to go across the sidewalks and parking lot, before hitting the sand. We also have 'hot sand' up on the beach which kids don't like and of course there are shells, rocks and horrible crabs that can cut your foot if you're not careful. This is a good preventive measure to prevent tears before they happen. I think they are well priced and frankly better quality than most water shoes I've seen on the internet lately. when it floats in the water to prevent stuck sand rubbing your foot inside the shoe as that can be annoying but overall we are happy with them.
