Regular ear pads are very thin and uncomfortable, I had to buy denser Dekoni + 5k for them, but even with them the wearing comfort did not increase completely, but tolerable. These are my first planar headphones, I liked the sound, I listen to metal - they sound good, with these headphones I wanted to listen to everything in 24bit, metal sounds great with additional instruments (Within Temptation, Skillet, Apocalyptica, etc.). I was afraid that in planar there would be no bass as in dynamic ones, but here it turned out to be no worse. I listen at a comfortable 20-30% volume with evga Nu Audio - it seems to be enough for buildup.
