Well yes. The color convinced me. I didn't really think they would work so I tried them out on lightly soiled towels (not bleached) that could definitely be said to need a good cleaning. Pulled out wet, sniffed and smelled clean! The towel with the culaid was no longer pink. Pretty impressed if I have to say so. Mind you, I loaded a full hot water cycle. I've also used them on a cold wash cycle and it got the sweat smell out of the shirts armpits (yes I absolutely smelled them). I'm not sure I would trust this on a load that needs bleach, but overall I just saved myself a decent amount of detergent.
