I bought this for my wife with morning coffee as I didn't want her pouring boiling water over the plastic every day. I would say the quality is excellent. Is it worth the money? Definitely in terms of quality. However, a few points of criticism. The stainless steel filter mesh is ridiculously tight (I didn't know they even made something like this), with holes on the outside for drainage. All is well on the sides. But there is a problem with the floor. At the bottom of the dropper, there is a plate with tiny holes inside and the stainless pulp outside. So if you really put your head into this thing sensibly it will eventually run about when you first use it and then slow down to the slowest drip rate in the world UNLESS you do the following: 1. Use compressed air to blow out the tiny holes down outside (rinsing won't do anything), or 2. use paper filter. We chose option 2 and use unbleached paper filters. What I actually do is take the filters and fold the part where they are pressed against each other to minimize the amount of coffee "dust" that can get through the paper filter and clog the stainless steel filter.
