Plastic screen cover does not withstand heat
On a hot but not too hot day I had both this OTC and a Fluke in my truck. The fluke meter was fine. The plastic cover of the OTC meter screen is deformed as shown in the photo. I contacted OTC to purchase a replacement cover and was told they did not have replacement parts for this meter. To OTC's credit, my request for a cap replacement was quickly denied rather than waiting for a response. Usually OTC is pretty good, unfortunately this gauge is not recommended for use outdoors in the sun or in hot conditions.
