I did not pay and did not expect a professional quality meter when I bought this one to replace the displaced one. But I was a little disappointed. While the counter does what it says, the refresh rate, especially at RPMs, renders it almost useless. Also, autoranging takes forever to settle down. The case is cheap and small for a meter and accessories, and the alligator clips are completely useless. On a hot but not too hot day I had both this OTC and a Fluke in my truck. The fluke meter was fine. The plastic cover of the OTC meter screen is deformed as shown in the photo. I contacted OTC to purchase a replacement cover and was told they did not have replacement parts for this meter. To OTC's credit, my request for a cap replacement was quickly denied rather than waiting for a response. I don't know what it is but I've never seen a digital gauge with a dwell function, this is another. Maybe it's wired differently than my cheap analog delay meter that works. The RPM sensor and function are also useless; it is very unstable and incomprehensible. This gauge's "refresh rate" or "sample rate" seems to be very slow (seen during RPM function?).
