Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Exploring the Power of OTC 3980 750 Series Automotive Multimeter by Trevor Bannister

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Mostly functional. Suitable for tools and equipment

I don't know what it is but I've never seen a digital gauge with a dwell function, this is another. Maybe it's wired differently than my cheap analog delay meter that works. The RPM sensor and function are also useless; it is very unstable and incomprehensible. This gauge's "refresh rate" or "sample rate" seems to be very slow (seen during RPM function?). When testing the starter voltage drop, I found that I had to "hold" the handle a second or two longer than usual or I don't get any readings, both min/max and standard readings. I didn't like the "automatic shutdown". ' at first, but I found that during the amperage test, when disconnected, the circuit remains intact. Pressing the button turns it on again. This is an out of the box feature. I haven't done any research or read user manuals to see if better performance can be achieved.
