I was looking for a backpack that would protect my 17 inch laptop reasonably well during transport. on the back, even if it's fairly well loaded. It distributed the weight well between my shoulders and back, especially with the chest strap; everything was safe. inches of air gap to ensure your laptop never touches the floor. OK, don't worry. Maybe I could just remove the double bottom, unfortunately the bottom of the laptop compartment doesn't have as much padding as the storage compartment itself.
