I bought this to get a nice and crispy pizza without using a pizza stone. When used properly, the stone does an excellent job of making a pizza crust, but it needs to be heated in a very hot oven for at least an hour. That's a lot of power for a 10-minute pizza, and since the heat for our oven comes from our propane tank, which we have to refill regularly, we're aware of that. Using this crispy crust gives a well-made crust without wasting energy. For the most direct way to heat your pizza, use it on a low shelf.
