I deliver pizza so ANY change in my car's performance from day to day can be felt immediately. One night after my shift the car started idling very rough and then the Check Engine light came on. Went straight to the auto parts store on the way home, used their 'free' handheld OBDII scanner and it showed codes P3050 (cylinder 5 misfire) and P3055 (primary/secondary 'E' coil problems). I ordered this item when I got home, received it between 7am and 11am the next day, first replaced the ignition coil on the spark plug, started the car and the problem seemed to be resolved. However, the check engine light was still on, so I went to the auto parts store and borrowed the scanner again to check the codes and clear the ones left in the car computer. Five minutes later, the Check Engine light went out, no more codes were displayed, and the car was purring like a kitten. I now have 5 spare coils and 6 spark plugs, all for about half what a mechanic would charge me.
